Ok, here are the photos of the preschool project that I have spoken about in my past post. This is the photo of a very large flagstone that took me a few weeks to carve out the text along with the girl, hummingbird and butterflies. I repainted it and sealed it. The flagstone is very asorbant with the paint so it was just a matter of touching up the paint that had been chiped from the move.
The Globe is just your typical round shaped concrete with a hole drilled in the center to be a topper for a fountain. I carved out the landmass shapes so that they would be raised and the kids would be able to feel that. I then painted the landmasses using the pimary colors. It is a fun piece.
OK, I realize that I promised that I would up load photos of the touch up that I did to the flagstone carvings at the Montessori school. Well, I haven't had a chance to get back there due to being busy with my family and a race that I did last weekend. The race was called the Warrior Dash. It is a 3.4 mile obstacle race and you have to crawl through a huge mud puddle in order to make it to the finish line. It was a lot of fun. The obstacle were too easy so I was disappointed with that but for something fun to do with friends it is definitely worth it. I will go tomorrow to finish up those two pieces at the Montessori school and will post those photos tomorrow.
I graduated with my bachelor of arts degree from the University of Arizona. After graduation I moved to Phoenix where I was hired as graphic designer for the City of Phoenix.
