Happy Easter and Holy week to everyone out there. This weekend I spent my Saturday morning touching up the paint on a piece of flagstone that I had carved and painted a design with the words to a prayer like poem for a Montessori preschool on 19th Ave just north of Butler in Phoenix, AZ. I will post photos when I go back to reseal it with a concrete sealer.
The owner of the school also asked me to carve two new flagstones. One with this refrain from the song Love Grows One By One. The refrain is "Love grows one by one, two by two and four by four. Love grows' round like a circle and comes back knockin' at your front door." The other text will go on a big flagstone that will be put into the ground near a trellis. Hurt No Living Thing. "Hurt no living thing: Ladybird, nor butterfly, nor moth with dusty wing, nor cricket chirping cheerily, nor grasshopper so light of leap, nor dancing gnat, or beetle fat, nor harmless worms that creep. On this flagstone I will probably add a couple of ladybugs and maybe a butterfly or worm as a design element to accompany the poem. I hope that you enjoy my website and that you had a blessed Easter or Sunday afternoon surrounded by the people that matter most to you. Until next time. |
